So you’ve decided to head out to our beautiful course and play a game? Fantastic! We are excited to see you here.
You might be wondering what you need to bring with you. The answer is – not much! We have basically everything here to ensure you have a fun and successful game. If you are visiting from out of town and don’t have your clubs, don’t worry, you can hire them. There are a few things that are worth bringing to have a good game…
1. Golf Rangefinder
A golf rangefinder is an invaluable tool for judging distances and spaces on our championship golf course. We do not have these on site so we recommend bringing one with you. It’s a useful guide to get you started.
2. Right Clothes
We have a dress code at M.C.C Golf Club but don’t worry. It’s no doubt what you are used to.
You must wear:
- Appropriate footwear
- Collared or turtle neck golf shirts
- white anklet or socks
- Shorts, Trousers or golf skirts with fitted waist bands
- Women’s sleeveless, collarless golf shirts worn inside or outside waist band.
It’s also important that you are neat and presentable whenever you are at the golf club.
The following are not allowed:
- Metal spiked shoes
- Tracksuit pants
- Torn, ripped or dirty clothing
- T Shirt or singlet tops of any kind
- Board shorts
3. Hat and Sunscreen
It can get very sunny on the course so sun protection is a must. Make sure you wear neat, golf appropriate hats and 30+ sunscreen. We do sell sunscreen on site if you forget it.
4. Book Ahead
It’s important to book ahead either via our form or ring. Although we can sometimes accommodate groups that turn up at the course, things will go more smoothly and not end in disappointment if you book ahead.
5. Non Essential But Good: Clubs, Tees and Balls
You can hire clubs at our course. Likewise, you can buy tees and balls. However, if you already have these items than we recommend you bring them.
We do have a variety of clubs that you can choose from so you may enjoy hiring them just to try out a new type.
Hopefully the list above will help you play a great game at M.C.C.
